  8. INTERGIF VIEWER is a program for displaying animated GIFs. It
  9. will also display sprites (except deep sprites), Draw files, and
  10. most files produced with Iota Software's (commercial) animation
  11. program The Complete Animator. It has been designed to work
  12. alongside InterGif, the animated GIF creation program.

  23. it's long after that that you're reading them, you might want to
  24. see if there's a later version now available.

  30. InterGif Viewer is NOT COPYRIGHTED and is NOT distributed under
  31. the GNU General Public Licence. For full information read the
  32. file !IGViewer.Copying or go to the Web site.
  33.     InterGif Viewer is mine: in particular, it doesn't belong to
  34. ANT Limited. If it gets anything wrong, it's my problem, not
  35. theirs.
  36.     In order to display Draw files you will need Acorn's Drawfile
  37. module. This is not included in InterGif Viewer distributions,
  38. but is available from

  45.   o Well, only one really: it shows animations.
  46.  
  47.   o Oh, thought of another one: it anti-aliases Draw files for
  48.     you, like InterGif does. It does need lots of memory to do
  49.     this, though.

  52.         Limitations
  53.         -----------
  54.  
  55.   o InterGif Viewer is built mostly from the same code as
  56.     InterGif itself, and so it shares InterGif's limitations.
  57.     Principally, these are an inability to load:
  58.  
  59.       * Deep sprites
  60.       * Animator files in deep modes
  61.       * Uncompressed or delta-compressed Animator files
  62.       * Any animation with more than 256 distinct colours
  63.         in total
  64.  
  65.   o Sound effects in Animator files are not played.
  66.

  68.         Desktop use
  69.         -----------
  70.  
  71. Run !IGViewer and drag your sprite file, Animator file, Draw
  72. file, or GIF onto the icon bar. A viewer will appear, with play
  73. tools if your animation has more than one frame. Select-clicking
  74. on the < and > icons plays the film backwards or forwards
  75. respectively; Adjust-clicking steps by one frame backwards or
  76. forwards. The end icons take you to the first or last frame of
  77. the animation. More than one animation can be loaded (and
  78. playing) at once.
  79.     As you've probably noticed, the icon bar menu has a "Web
  80. site" item. Choosing this takes you to my Web pages on ANT
  81. Limited's server, as described above. For this to work, you need
  82. to be connected to the Internet, and also have a Web browser
  83. loaded which understands ANT's URL broadcast message -- for
  84. example, Fresco or ArcWeb. (Probably the others too, these days.)
